Assistant Manager
Primary Function:
The porter is responsible for trash collection and any other duties to maintain the
cleanliness and appearance of the grounds. This person also works on snow
removal during the winter months and assists the maintenance technician as
needed.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
High School Diploma or GED. If the Porter maintains pools, he/she must be
either a licensed pool operator or supervised by a licensed pool operator.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Clean, pick up grounds and breezeways.
2. Keep all stair towers clean and free of debris.
3. Ensure that all exterior steps have treads and are safe
4. Rake leaves and collect debris from grounds and common areas.
5. Remove snow and spread salt in inclement weather.
6. Assist supervisor (or licensed pool operator) with pool maintenance.
7. Assist with light maintenance as directed by supervisor.
8. Remove all trash from vacant units and perform basic prep of unit for the
painters.
Porter
9. Perform prep and make ready tasks in vacant units as assigned by
maintenance supervisor
10. Perform daily inspection of exterior building and parking lot lights. Report
any problems to the maintenance supervisor immediately.
